The goal of this tool is to transform everyday habits into quantitative data that allows us to visualize the environmental impact and health risks.
This document details the technical framework, calculation algorithms, and scientific references that support the operation of the CCA tool.
Scoring and Value System
The calculator's logic is based on an Intensity Score (IS) system. Each question has a weight based on its relative impact on gas emissions or direct health risk.
Section A: Atmospheric Impact (CO2)
Questions: 1 to 10.
Scale by option: * Option 1 (Low impact): 1 point
Option 2 (Medium Impact): 2 points
Option 3 (High Impact): 3 points
Maximum Possible Score: 30 points.
Minimum Possible Score: 10 points.
Section B: Local Risk (Health)
Questions: 11 to 15.
Scale by option:
Option 1 (No risk): 1 point
Option 2 (Moderate Risk): 2 points
Option 3 (High Risk): 3 points
Maximum Possible Score: 15 points.
Minimum Possible Score: 5 points.
Calculation Formulas
To convert points into percentages and physical units, the following equations are used:
A. Percentage of Atmospheric Impact (PCO2)
A normalization is used so that the minimum point value (10) is 0% and the maximum (30) is 100%:

B. Estimated Tons of CO2
Based on benchmarking by MyClimate, it is established that a "high impact" lifestyle in developing countries averages 15 tons per year.

C. Percentage of Health Impact
Similar to the previous normalization, adjusted to the number of questions (5):

It is the arithmetic average of both pillars that determines the position of the marker on the color bar:


Global Bar and Interface Design
The application's design is based on principles of Color Psychology and User-Centered Design (UCD):
Color Ranges:
Green (#10b981): Associated with sustainability and purity. Used to indicate compliance with environmental objectives.
Blue (#3b82f6): Associated with health and medical well-being. Used for the personal affect section.
Interactivity : The use of large buttons and a visual marker (š) facilitates immediate understanding of the risk without the need to read complex tables.
Accessibility : The design is fully responsive, allowing anyone with a mobile device to quickly and seamlessly assess their surroundings.
Justification of the Alert Ranges
